Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimise manufacturing processes, improve efficiency and ensure product quality at our Letterkenny facility in Ireland. You will work with engineering, operations and quality teams to implement lean improvements and maintain comprehensive process documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of manufacturing experience, with strong CAD/CAM and simulation tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, process optimization, and quality control.
• Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and update detailed manufacturing routings with process steps, equipment, and time estimates.
• Ensure routings align with drawings, specs, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to optimize routing efficiency and reduce costs.
• Conduct time studies to determine process times and labor requirements.
• Use time study data to optimize routings and productivity.
• Maintain documentation of routings, work instructions, and quality plans.
• Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and capacity planning.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot manufacturing problems and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
