Job summary

Cohesity is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support high-volume manufacturing of storage server platforms. You will improve manufacturability, collaborate with engineering and suppliers, and lead root-cause analysis to drive corrective actions.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in manufacturing engineering, familiarity with PLM systems such as Arena, and knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. This role is office-based in Ireland with a global contract manufacturing network.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, tooling, and production documentation.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive optimization, qualification, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
  • Improve manufacturability, reduce cost, and influence design decisions.
  • Lead RCA activities and drive corrective actions to closure.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to improve efficiency and supply continuity.
  • Support introduction and integration of new storage server platforms and product launches.

Cohesity is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support the high-volume manufacturing of industry-leading storage server platforms. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to drive manufacturing excellence across an expanding product portfolio and global contract manufacturing network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the optimization, qualification, and continuous improvement of complex manufacturing processes, ensuring packaging, tooling, and production documentation are delivered on schedule.
  • Improve product manufacturability by reducing cost, enhancing quality, and influencing technical design decisions.
  • Lead and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities, driving corrective and preventive actions through to closure.
  • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies in partnership with suppliers and contract manufacturers to improve production efficiency, scalability, and supply continuity.
  • Drive the successful introduction and integration of new and existing storage server platforms, increasing product quality and manufacturing velocity.
  • Serve as the primary manufacturing interface between Cohesity and its global contract manufacturing partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and supplier teams to resolve production challenges and support product launches.
WE'D LOVE TO TALK IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 1-2 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, product industrialization, operations engineering, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems; Arena experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of server (1U, 2U), storage (HDD, SSDs), and networking peripherals.
  • Some Compliance knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
