Job summary

Unknown company seeks a Manufacturing Costing Analyst to drive cost management across manufacturing operations, focusing on BOMs, standard costing, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory analysis. You will work with Finance, Production, Supply Chain, Engineering and R&D to improve cost visibility and strengthen financial controls.

The role requires 3–5 years in cost analysis, strong Excel and Power BI skills, and ERP experience (SAP preferred).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in cost analysis, management accounting, manufacturing finance, or similar.
• Good understanding of manufacturing costing including standard costing, BOMs, material and labour costs, overhead allocation, and variance analysis.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, inventory analysis, and management reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI; SAP or another ERP system experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, and R&D.

Responsibilities

• Analyse manufacturing costs across raw materials, labour, and overheads to improve cost visibility and product profitability.
• Monitor actual costs against standard costs, budgets, and forecasts; investigate variances and identify cost overruns.
• Maintain product costing structures, including BOMs, labour rates, overhead allocations, and standard cost updates.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to understand cost drivers and implement efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
• Support production budgeting, cost forecasting, and inventory analysis, including purchasing trends and inventory turnover.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and management reports covering cost performance, production efficiency, inventory, and variances.
• Provide cost estimates and profitability analysis for new products with R&D and other stakeholders.
• Review supplier quotations, cost breakdowns, and standard cost references for price and cost comparisons.
