Job summary

Carne Group is seeking an experienced Manager for Investment Management Oversight in Dublin. The role supports the Designated Person for Investment Management with oversight of delegated investment managers and governance frameworks.

The position requires 3–5 years in funds, UCITS/AIFM knowledge, and strong people management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerBI is preferred, with involvement in client relationships and regulatory discussions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in funds industry (fund administration/depositary/AIFM/management company).
• Third level qualification (or equivalent).
• Excellent knowledge of UCITS, AIFM, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ongoing monitoring of delegated investment managers, ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Resolve complex issues related to investment management, fund governance, and oversight processes.
• Demonstrate deep expertise of bespoke and complex investment strategies across the fund lifecycle, from launch to ongoing oversight and change management.
• Ensure team alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with high‑touch, strategically important clients as senior contact for oversight matters.
• Represent the IM Oversight function in presentations with managers, depositaries, boards, and regulators.
• Contribute to enhancement of oversight processes, technology, and controls.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders on Investment Oversight matters.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management committees and governance bodies.
• Lead and manage IM Oversight team members, including performance reviews and development planning.

What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?

What is your role and your responsibilities?

• Oversee the ongoing monitoring of delegated investment managers, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
• Resolve complex issues related to investment management, fund governance, and investment oversight processes.
• Exhibit deep expertise of bespoke and complex investment strategies, coupled with a thorough understanding of the fund lifecycle, contributing across all stages from fund launch and implementation through ongoing oversight and change management, while ensuring the implementation of comprehensive monitoring and governance frameworks.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the regulatory environment, particularly as it relates to investment management, and ensure team alignment with evolving requirements.
• Manage relationships with high-touch and strategically important clients, acting as a senior point of contact for investment oversight matters.
• Represent the IM Oversight function in presentations and meetings with investment managers, depositaries, fund boards, and regulators as required.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of investment oversight processes, technology, and controls.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders in respect of Investment Oversight matters.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management committees and governance bodies.
• Lead and manage IM Oversight team members, including performance reviews, development planning, training, and resource allocation.
