Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Manager, BCP / Emergency Preparedness to design, govern, and enable facilities‑related continuity programs across the DPS global portfolio. You will partner with Regional FM Directors, Site Services, Security, EHS, and BCM teams to ensure sites are prepared, resilient, and capable of responding to disruptions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Emergency Management, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in business continuity, emergency preparedness, risk management, or related operational roles.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment, business impact analysis, and continuity planning methodologies.
  • Certifications in CBCP, MBCI, or CEM preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the FM BCP and Emergency Preparedness framework, aligned with enterprise BCM standards.
  • Ensure facilities‑related risks are addressed in continuity plans.
  • Establish emergency response standards and site readiness requirements.
  • Coordinate drills, exercises, and readiness assessments with regional FM and site teams.
  • Lead post‑incident reviews and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership with readiness metrics, risk insights, and preparedness trends.
  • Lead development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of continuity programs.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. The Manager, BCP & Emergency Preparednessis responsible fordesigning, governing, and enablingfacilities‑relatedbusiness continuity and emergency preparedness programsacross the DPS global facilities portfolio (~110locations). This role ensures that DPS sites areprepared, resilient, and capable of responding to disruptive eventsthatimpactfacilities, infrastructure, or workplace operations.

This position serves as theglobal program ownerforFM‑relatedcontinuity planning and emergency response, partnering with Regional FM Directors, Site Services, Security, EHS, and Enterprise BCM teams.

The Manager, BCP / EmergencyPreparednessis responsible forleading business continuity planning (BCP) and emergency preparedness programs to ensure organizational resilience across DePuy Synthes. This role plays a critical part in protecting employees, operations, and assets by ensuring the company is prepared to respond effectively to disruptions, emergencies, and crises. The position offers high visibility,cross‑functionalcollaboration, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on enterprise risk management and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define andmaintaintheFM BCP and Emergency Preparedness framework, aligned with enterprise BCM standards.

  • Ensurefacilities‑relatedrisks (infrastructure failure, utilities disruption, site access issues) are addressed in continuity plans.

  • Establishemergency response standards, playbooks, and site readiness requirements.

  • Partner with regional FM and site teams to conductdrills, exercises, and readiness assessments.

  • Support crisis response during events, providingstructured escalation and decision support.

  • Leadpost‑incidentreviews and drive continuous improvement.

  • Provide leadership withreadiness metrics, risk insights, and preparedness trends.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of business continuity and emergency preparedness programs.

  • Ensure alignment ofsite‑leveland functional BCP plans with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct risk assessments, business impact analyses, and scenario planning toidentifyvulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.

  • Coordinate emergency response planning, drills, and exercises to test readiness and improve response capabilities.

  • Partner with EHSS, Facilities, IT, Supply Chain, and business leaders to integrate continuity planning across functions.

  • Proven ability to leadcross‑functionalcollaboration in a matrixed organization.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, andproblem‑solvingskills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including training and presentations.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a regulated, manufacturing, or global organization.

  • Experience supporting crisis management or incident response teams.

  • Familiarity with global continuity standards and frameworks

  • Experience driving program maturity and continuous improvement initiatives.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€70,100.00 - €121,210.00
