Job summary

Everest Insurance (Ireland) DAC seeks a Manager, Accounting to lead finance operations within the insurance division in Dublin. The role reports to the Finance Operations Senior Manager and focuses on automated reporting, controls, and stakeholder liaison.

The successful candidate will hold a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with at least three years’ post-qualification experience in insurance accounting and will supervise junior staff while delivering high-quality financial

  • Experience working with outsourced service providers or shared service teams is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated solutions to improve process efficiency within finance operations.
  • Partner with underwriting, operations and project management to embed new products and channels within finance processes.
  • Manage outsourced partner activities and ensure delivery aligns with service levels and governance.
  • Lead and review work of junior team members, maintaining high delivery standards.
  • Develop and review reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.

Summary

This role sits within Everest’s insurance division. Everest Insurance (Ireland) DAC (“EIID”) provides insurance services across Europe, supporting key stakeholders across EIID’s branch network and the wider Everest Group. The successful candidate will report to the Finance Operations Senior Manager and will work closely with the wider team to deliver high-quality insurance reporting, finance operations and project support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement automated solutions that improve process efficiency within finance operations and across the broader finance function.
  • Partner with underwriting, operations and project management teams to ensure new products and distribution channels are embedded within finance processes in a controlled, scalable and sustainable manner.
  • Manage and oversee outsourced partner activities, ensuring delivery is aligned with agreed service levels, control requirements and finance operations standards.
  • Manage, support and review the work of junior team members, helping to maintain high standards of delivery.
  • Develop and review reconciliations, ensuring timely completion and effective investigation and resolution of outstanding items.
  • Contribute to group systems implementation initiatives, including impact assessment, process definition and user acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate across functions to develop end-to-end process documentation for key finance operations processes and controls.
  • Support internal and external audit teams on operational finance matters.
  • Work with the tax team and outsourced providers to ensure tax submissions, including IPT and VAT, are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Work with the treasury team to support efficient payment processes, appropriate disbursement controls and effective forecasting of significant receipts and disbursements.
Professional Qualifications/Experience
  • Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in an insurance accounting role.
  • Strong academic background, including a relevant bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience working with outsourced service providers or shared service teams would be advantageous.
