Job summary

Recruitment Plus is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the team in Castleblayney, Co Monaghan. You will deliver accurate month‑end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial insight to drive business performance.

Responsibilities include cost accounting, variance analysis, stock and pricing insights, and integration across ERP and BI tools. Collaboration with the Head of Finance ensures timely, robust information for the Management Team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in finance, management accounting or related role.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Experience partnering with sales, operations and senior management.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Conduct robust financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Product costing: maintain standards and actual costs.
• Yield analysis, monitor stock movements and obsolescence.
• Complete month-end processes: accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Analyze actual performance vs. budget and forecast; provide variance analysis.
• Assist with annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting.
• Ensure administrative processes are streamlined and aligned with business needs.
• Develop and maintain financial models and management reporting packs.
• Provide commercial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Report profitability and margin by product, customer and category.
• Provide costing information to support customer pricing.
• Ensure ERP System integrity across inventory and purchasing systems.

Job Title: Management Accountant

Description of Role: Our client is now seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their team. This role you will provide accurate and timely management information, financial analysis and commercial insight to support business performance and decision-making. The Management Accountant will take responsibility for month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial controls. The person work closely with the Head of Finance to ensure all key information is delivered accurately and on time. This role plays a critical part in supporting the business by providing clear, relevant, and timely financial to the Management Team.

Requirements:

• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience partnering with sales, operations and senior management.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• 3+ years experience in a finance, Management accounting, or accounting-related role.
• Background in managing office operations in a fast-paced or multi-site environment is desirable.
• Strong understanding of management accounts and financial reporting.
• Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and financial modelling.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support the business with robust financial analysis to assist in informed decision-making.
• Product Costing, calculate and maintain accurate standards and actuals cost for products.
• Yield Analysis, Monitor productions yields, waste and spoilage Analysis stock movement and control on slow moving/obsolete stock and stock adjustments.
• Complete month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast.
• Prepare detailed variance analysis and explain key financial movements.
• Assist with annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting.
• Ensure administrative processes are streamlined and aligned with business needs.
• Develop and maintain financial models and management reporting packs.
• Provide commercial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Report profitability and margin by product, customer and category.
• Provide costing information to support customer pricing.
• Ensure the integrity of ERP System, Inventory and Purchase systems and all system are integrated
