Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a busy food processing site in Cork. The role involves hands-on maintenance across production equipment, with focus on electrical and mechanical automation systems, and strong fault-finding abilities.

3 days per week in Cork and 2 days per week at a facility in West Cork, with potential for a part-time arrangement for the right candidate. Salary will be dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining manufacturing systems in a processing environment.
• Qualification or strong technical knowledge in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Good understanding of electrical and mechanical automation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks across production equipment and systems.
• Support safe and efficient operation of electrical and mechanical automation systems.
• Assist with routine mechanical maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain controls, sensors, pneumatics and electrical systems in a fast-paced facility.
• Assist with preventative and predictive maintenance routines and procedures.
