Job summary

FRS Recruitment is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician for a client in West Limerick. The role suits Electrician, Mechanic or Fitter with hands‑on experience maintaining heavy plant and machinery.

You will service equipment across facilities, respond to breakdowns and support planned maintenance to improve reliability and minimise downtime. A full EU driving licence is required and the ability to read engineering drawings is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician, Mechanic or Fitter with at least three years' relevant experience.
• Experience troubleshooting heavy plant and machinery including hydraulic, mechanical and electrical power trains.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Sound understanding of preventative maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and schedule day-to-day equipment maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve faults across hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Develop and improve planned and predictive maintenance processes.
• Support maintenance planning, equipment reviews and failure investigations.

A Maintenance Technician is required to join our client’s maintenance team in West Limerick. This role would particularly suit a qualified Electrician, Mechanic or Fitter with experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant and machinery.

You will be responsible for maintaining equipment across the company’s facilities, responding to breakdowns and supporting planned maintenance programmes to improve reliability and minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve faults across hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
