Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a large international food and dairy business. You will keep production equipment reliable, efficient and safe within a high-speed manufacturing environment.

You will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on site equipment, support KPI achievement, troubleshoot electrical and control systems (Siemens PLCs, HMI/SCADA), and contribute to continuous improvement while complying with health, safety and food hygiene standards.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Electrical Qualification.
  • Experience in high-speed manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance, with automation and Siemens PLCs desirable.
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA, instrumentation and process control systems.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional engineering team.
  • Flexibility to work across varying shift patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on site equipment and machinery, helping to minimise downtime and maintain production performance.
  • Support the engineering and operations teams in achieving site KPIs and equipment performance targets.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain electrical, automation and control systems, including Siemens PLCs, HMI and SCADA systems.
  • Work with instrumentation and process control equipment, including pumps, valves and associated instruments.
  • Take responsibility for assigned engineering projects and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Health & Safety, technical and food hygiene standards.
