Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc is seeking a Maintenance Operative to support daily hotel maintenance tasks across our properties. You will receive training through the Dalata Academy and meet experienced team members who can help you grow.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience is desirable.
• Safe Pass certification preferred.
• Trade qualifications in painting, gardening, heating, plumbing or construction desirable.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage daily workloads and resources for maintenance tasks such as painting, decorating and gardening.
• Carry out maintenance tasks including preventative routines in tiling, plumbing and carpentry.
• Ensure maintenance procedures are up to date and repairs are prompt.
• Assist plumbers and electricians in rectifying defects in hotel systems.
• Provide support to contractors working at Maldron Hotel Merrion Road.
• Contribute to routine maintenance and refurbishment of hotel facilities.
• Follow health and safety legislation and hotel HACCP procedures.

Your Job:

• Proactively manage daily workloads while ensuring the efficient use of available resources, including painting, decorating, and gardening.
• Carry out maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance routines, as per departmental requirements in areas such as tiling, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ensure that all maintenance procedures are kept up to date and that repairs are carried out promptly.
• Assist plumbers and electricians in rectifying defects or malfunctions within the hotel systems.
• Provide assistance and direction to contractors working at the Maldron Hotel Merrion Road.
• Contribute as part of the team responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities, including refurbishment of services and amenities.
• All maintenance activities and procedures comply with applicable health and safety legislation, policies, and best practice guidelines.
• Follow all hotel HACCP procedures and complete all HACCP documentation as required.

What You Will Need:

• Previous hospitality experience is desirable.
• Safe Pass certification is preferred.
• Qualifications in one or more trades, including painting, gardening, heating, plumbing, or construction, are desirable.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work effectively.
• Standards-driven and detail-oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility regarding working hours.
• Good command of the English language.
