Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is looking for a hands-on maintenance professional to manage daily workloads and carry out a range of trades, including painting, plumbing, and tiling, at our Dublin-area hotels.

Training through the Dalata Academy supports skill development and internal progression, with a friendly team and opportunities to advance within the group.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience is desirable.
• Safe Pass certification is preferred.
• Qualifications in trades: painting, gardening, heating, plumbing or construction are desirable.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise work.
• Good command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage daily workloads while ensuring efficient use of resources, including painting, decorating, and gardening.
• Carry out maintenance tasks, including preventative routines in tiling, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ensure maintenance procedures are up to date and repairs are carried out promptly.
• Assist plumbers and electricians in rectifying defects or malfunctions within hotel systems.
• Provide assistance and direction to contractors at Maldron Hotel Merrion Road.
• Contribute to routine maintenance and refurbishment of hotel facilities.
• All maintenance activities comply with health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Follow HACCP procedures and complete HACCP documentation as required.

Your Job

• Proactively manage daily workloads while ensuring the efficient use of available resources, including painting, decorating, and gardening.
• Carry out maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance routines, as per departmental requirements in areas such as tiling, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ensure that all maintenance procedures are kept up to date and that repairs are carried out promptly.
• Assist plumbers and electricians in rectifying defects or malfunctions within the hotel systems.
• Provide assistance and direction to contractors working at the Maldron Hotel Merrion Road.
• Contribute as part of the team responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities, including refurbishment of services and amenities.
• All maintenance activities and procedures comply with applicable health and safety legislation, policies, and best practice guidelines.
• Follow all hotel HACCP procedures and complete all HACCP documentation as required.

What You Will Need

• Previous hospitality experience is desirable.

• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work effectively.
