Job summary

Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join its team. The role involves coordinating and performing day-to-day general maintenance duties across guest rooms and public areas, maintaining decor and fittings, and ensuring tools and supplies are available for repairs.

Candidates should have 2–3 years in hospitality maintenance, stay professional under pressure, and be flexible to work shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform day-to-day general maintenance duties in hotel rooms and public areas.
• Maintain the appearance of the hotel; replace lamps, paint, fixtures & fittings, and carry out repairs to decor & paintwork.
• Ensure supplies of equipment and tools, keeping a par stock of maintenance essentials.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests, reports, breakages and work carried out by maintenance and contractors.
• Perform preventive maintenance across front and back of house, interior and exterior.

Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join the team in its unique four-star hotel.

A Maintenance Operative Will Be Responsible For

• Coordinating and performing day to day general maintenance duties as dictated by the maintenance reports within the hotel rooms and public areas
• Maintaining the overall appearance of the hotel; replacing broken lamps, painting, bedroom fixtures & fittings, carrying out general repairs & maintaining high standards to decor & paint work etc throughout the hotel
• Ensuring that there are supplies of equipment and tools for repair of maintenance work; to keep a par stock of maintenance essentials such as: light bulbs, fuses, transformers, plumbing spars, fittings, batteries, silicones, glues, etc and allowing for immediate repairs.
• Maintaining records of inspections, tests, reports, breakages and work carried out by maintenance and contractors
• Performing preventive maintenance throughout all areas of the hotel, including both front and back of house, interior and exterior

To be successful in the role of Maintenance Operative we require:

• Previous experience, ideally 2-3 years' in a similar role within hospitality
• A positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
