Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join its team. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and provide a multi-disciplined general maintenance service, focusing on planned, preventative, reactive repairs, and high-quality painting throughout the property.

Maintenance Operative

Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join the team in its unique four-star hotel.

You will report to the Maintenance Manager and provide a multi-disciplined general maintenance service primarily focusing on planned, preventative and reactive and repair of the property, alongside delivering high quality painting work.

A Maintenance Operative will be responsible for

• Coordinating and performing day to day general maintenance duties as dictated by the maintenance reports within the hotel rooms and public areas
• Maintaining the overall appearance of the hotel; replacing broken lamps, painting, bedroom fixtures & fittings, carrying out general repairs & maintaining high standards to decor & paint work etc throughout the hotel
• Ensuring that there are supplies of equipment and tools for repair of maintenance work; to keep a par stock of maintenance essentials such as: light bulbs, fuses, transformers, plumbing spars, fittings, batteries, silicones, glues, etc and allowing for immediate repairs.
• Maintaining records of inspections, tests, reports, breakages and work carried out by maintenance and contractors
• Performing preventive maintenance throughout all areas of the hotel, including both front and back of house, interior and exterior

To be successful in the role of Maintenance Operative we require:

• Previous experience, ideally 2-3 years’ in a similar role within hospitality
• A positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
