Job summary

Kilsaran is seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager to lead and optimise maintenance across five production facilities in Dunboyne. You will own mechanical and electrical maintenance, drive uptime, and lead a high-performance team with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

You will implement preventative and corrective maintenance programs, manage CMMS and spares, and collaborate with production to align priorities with improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Time-served qualification or third-level degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in a similar maintenance leadership role in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability and foster high-performance culture.
• Strong understanding of OEE and experience implementing engineering solutions to improve it.
• Proficient in maintenance planning systems, root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance function across 5 production facilities, ensuring alignment with operational goals and safety standards.
• Drive a culture of accountability within the maintenance team, ensuring ownership of actions, timely resolution of issues, and adherence to performance expectations.
• Plan and manage scheduled maintenance and plant shutdowns to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventative and corrective maintenance programmes with focus on root cause analysis and reliability.
• Optimise team efficiency through resource planning, skills development, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain and enhance CMMS to support planning, inventory control and data-driven decision-making.
• Oversee the maintenance storeroom, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost-effective inventory management.
• Manage relationships with external contractors and suppliers, including cost control and SLAs.
• Track and control maintenance expenditures within budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with Production and Operations to align maintenance with schedules and improvements.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to team members and cross-functional colleagues.
