Job summary
FRS Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Manager for West Cork, Ireland, to lead a high-volume, high-tech production site. You will shape maintenance strategy, build a strong team and drive reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement across the site.
Top candidates bring 2+ years leading a maintenance or production team, an engineering qualification or apprenticeship, and strong Lean/CI experience to cut downtime and raise performance.
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience leading a Maintenance or Production team in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Engineering qualification or recognised time-served apprenticeship.
- Strong knowledge of Maintenance Systems and Lean / Continuous Improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a skilled maintenance team.
- Own planned, preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance.
- Drive equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Manage maintenance budgets, contractors, materials and spares.
- Lead Lean, PDCA and Practical Problem-Solving initiatives.
- Analyse maintenance KPIs and turn data into action.
- Drive improvements in energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain.
- Balance daily operational demands with longer-term maintenance strategy.
