Job summary

FRS Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Manager for West Cork, Ireland, to lead a high-volume, high-tech production site. You will shape maintenance strategy, build a strong team and drive reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement across the site.

Top candidates bring 2+ years leading a maintenance or production team, an engineering qualification or apprenticeship, and strong Lean/CI experience to cut downtime and raise performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience leading a Maintenance or Production team in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Engineering qualification or recognised time-served apprenticeship.
• Strong knowledge of Maintenance Systems and Lean / Continuous Improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a skilled maintenance team.
• Own planned, preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Drive equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Manage maintenance budgets, contractors, materials and spares.
• Lead Lean, PDCA and Practical Problem-Solving initiatives.
• Analyse maintenance KPIs and turn data into action.
• Drive improvements in energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain.
• Balance daily operational demands with longer-term maintenance strategy.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager to take the lead in a high-volume, high-tech manufacturing environment in West Cork. This is a key leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to shape maintenance strategy, develop a strong team and drive reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement across the site.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead, coach and develop a skilled maintenance team
• Own planned, preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance
• Drive equipment reliability and minimise downtime
