Job summary

Hamwood Stud Farm in Dunboyne is seeking Maintenance Fitters to maintain and repair agricultural equipment across our farm sites. The role requires handling tractors, loaders, and related machinery, with focus on safety and preventive upkeep.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience, strong English communication, and a willingness to work in a farm environment on a 39-hour week basis.

Qualifications

Hamwood Stud Farm are currently recruiting for Maintenance Fitters at their sites located at Hamwood Stud, Dunboyne, Co. Meath A86 XV04.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery (tractors, loaders, trailers, mowers).
• Servicing horse walkers, feed systems, water pumps, and stable ventilation systems.
• Repairing fencing, gates, stables, barns, and other farm buildings.
• Welding and fabrication of metal components and equipment.
• Routine preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Maintaining workshop tools and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.

Essential Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience or working in a similar position is required for this role
• Effective communication skills, with fluency in English.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: €36,605 per annum based on a 39-hour week.
