Grassland Agro in Slane, Co.Meath, is recruiting a Maintenance Electrician for our Slane Factory. Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will provide maintenance support to production operations and ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised national qualification or apprenticeship with experience in manufacturing, knowledge of conveyors and PLCs, and be capable of working both in a team and independently.

Qualifications

• Recognised National qualification / apprenticeship.
• Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Team player who can also work on their own initiative.
• Good knowledge of conveyors, elevators and screening systems.
• Good knowledge of PLCs and programming.
• Experience of working with weighing systems.
• Basic computer knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to production operations.
• Maintain production equipment through preventative and reactive organisation.
• Perform routine fabrication assignments as directed.
• Perform testing to ensure machinery is operating correctly and safely.
• Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimum specifications.
• Supervise a scheduled programme periodically for maintenance shutdown.

The most comprehensive range of speciality fertilizer and soil conditioning products. In addition, Grassland Agro sells a full range of animal mineral blocks as well as biostimulants.

Dairy Hygiene: Grassland Agro also has an expert team of dairy hygiene specialists covering all areas of the country. These specialists have many years combined experience dealing with on-farm issues such as somatic cell count (SCC), TBC, thermodurics, lameness, TCM’s and chlorates.
