Job summary

ABP Ireland is recruiting a Maintenance Technician to join the Clones, Teehill team. Based on-site, you will be part of the maintenance team responsible for plant and machinery upkeep, preventative maintenance, and timely breakdown repairs to support production at ABP Clones.

You will report to the site Engineering Manager and work in a manufacturing environment with a focus on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food industry.
• Team player with good problem solving and communication skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent English.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Commitment to health & safety requirements and safe working practices.
• Welding experience (TIG/arch) an advantage but not essential.
• Refrigeration experience an advantage but not essential.
• Knowledge of PLCs and VSDs an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out start-up / shut down checks on machinery throughout the plant daily.
• Attend to breakdowns swiftly and safely following company procedures.
• Carry out servicing and maintenance; follow preventative maintenance schedule.
• Ensure records are completed accurately and that maintenance aligns with Health & Safety policy.
• Maintain good housekeeping and lead by example, upholding company values.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be based in ABP Clones, Teehill, Clones, Co Monaghan.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of the maintenance team with responsibilities for plant and machinery, problem solving, preventative and breakdown maintenance and the related documentation of the maintenance carried out. They must be keen to drive continuous improvement and deliver a high quality maintenance service to production.

The Maintenance Technician will be reporting directly to the site Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out start-up / shut down checks on machinery throughout the plant on a daily basis.
• Ensure that all breakdowns are attended to swiftly and safely at all times, following company procedures.
• Ensure that all servicing and maintenance throughout the site is done in an efficient, safe and hygienic manner.
• Implement and follow the preventative maintenance schedule.
• Ensure that records are completed accurately.
• Ensure full compliance with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the workplace.
• Lead by example, upholding the company’s values in all areas of work.
• Other duties as assigned.
