Job summary

px Group is hiring a Maintenance Electrician to support electrical and mechanical maintenance at an oil terminal in a port environment. You will receive personalised on‑the‑job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly performance reviews to develop your competence.

Key responsibilities include diagnosing faults, ensuring safety, maintaining CMMS records and coordinating with terminal staff. The role requires Compex Electrical qualification and experience with ATEX equipment.

Qualifications

• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic equipment faults.
• Ensure all engineering work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation.
• Maintain accurate and organised records of your work, both written and electronic.
• Updating CMMS such as Maximo and Agility.
• Liaise with Terminal Supervisor, Terminal Manager and Group Maintenance Manager for defects/resolutions.
• Undertake maintenance of LV distribution small power and lighting, emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
• Compex Electrical qualification enabling work on ATEX category equipment.
• Competency in selection, installation, inspection and maintenance of Ex apparatus in potentially explosive atmospheres.
• Previous experience in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Record-keeping of maintenance actions in CMMS.
• Coordinate with technical staff and management for defect resolution.

You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic equipment faults
• Ensure all engineering work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation.
• Maintain accurate and organised records of your work, both written and electronic.
• Updating computer maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as Maximo and Agility.
• Liaise with the relevant technical and local managerial staff e.g. Terminal Supervisor, Terminal Manager and Group Maintenance Manager in the resolution of defects, changes in the operation of specific plant items or to provide information in response to a maintenance alert
• Undertake maintenance of LV distribution small power and lighting, emergency lighting and fire alarm testing
