Job summary

Morgan McKinley Kilkenny is seeking a Shift Maintenance Electrician to ensure electrical regulatory adherence while supporting the site with planned and unplanned maintenance.

You will handle PM planning, fault finding in electrical/control systems, and work with third-party contractors when required. The role offers an on-site canteen, free parking and a supportive team with long-term stability.

Responsibilities

• Contractor controls, including induction, permitting and GMP.
• KPI reporting.
• PM planning and scheduling in conjunction with the relevant function head.
• Completion of planned and unplanned maintenance.
• Ensure electrical engineering compliance is maintained at all times through audit completion, planned work completion and shared learning with the site team.
• Maintain the library of all technical, legal and insurance electrical engineering documentation.
• Ensure all electrical equipment meets statutory and H&S standards and escalates any areas of concern outside of their own control.
• Improve the electrical safety of equipment.
• Fault finding in electrical, PLC and other control systems.
• Maintenance of instrumentation and installation of electrical control equipment when required.
• Undertake electrical PPM, inspection testing, commissioning and basic repairs to plant and equipment, either directly or through third-party contractors.
• Provide assistance to maintenance on mechanical-related work as the business requires.
• Replacement of obsolete technology where replacement parts are difficult or impossible to obtain.
• Modification of existing controls to improve process control, reliability, safety and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Act as the site electrical duty holder/responsible person or provide support in this capacity.
• Complete audits to identify key improvement areas and ensure electrical panel standards adhere to company policy.
