Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification / trade qualification.
• Experience as an electrician in manufacturing, industrial or production environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with electrical control systems, motors, drives, sensors, panels.
• PLC fault-finding experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and effectively.
• Troubleshoot motors, sensors, control panels, drives, PLCs and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance per schedule.
• Respond to breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Carry out electrical inspections, testing and repairs.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production teams.
• Maintain records of maintenance and breakdowns.
• Identify improvements to equipment reliability and reduce faults.

Maintenance Electrician – Manufacturing

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a manufacturing team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with strong industrial maintenance experience to work in a busy production environment.

The Role

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and control systems across the manufacturing facility. You will play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and effectively.
• Troubleshoot motors, sensors, control panels, drives, PLCs, and associated equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities in line with the maintenance schedule.
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Carry out electrical inspections, testing, and repairs.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Work closely with mechanical maintenance and production teams.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with health & safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and breakdowns.Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce recurring faults.

Requirements

• Recognised electrical qualification / trade qualification.
• Previous experience as an electrician within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working with industrial machinery and electrical control systems.
• Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, control panels, and three-phase systems.
• PLC fault-finding experience would be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Strong health & safety awareness.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
