This could be exactly what you're looking for.

We're recruiting for an experienced Maintenance & Automation Technician to join a highly skilled engineering team supporting a major automated logistics operation in Dublin.

You'll be working on high-speed material handling, conveyor and sortation systems within a well-established engineering business that has maintained a long-standing customer partnership for more than 25 years.

And importantly, this isn't just another maintenance job. With excellent staff retention, continued investment in training and genuine opportunities to progress, it's an opportunity to build a career with a business that values its people.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for keeping a highly automated operation running safely and efficiently, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of complex equipment.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance on automated equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
  • Fault-finding across conveyor and automated sortation systems
  • Working with PLCs, controls, pneumatics and electromechanical systems
  • Responding quickly to breakdowns and minimising equipment downtime
  • Supporting CMMS-based preventative maintenance programmes
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reliability and equipment performance
  • Carrying out technical cleaning and general maintenance activities
  • Working closely with the wider engineering team in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Maintaining excellent standards of health, safety and engineering practice
What we're looking for

You'll ideally have experience with:

  • Planned and reactive maintenance
  • Electrical fault-finding and diagnostics
  • Automated machinery or production equipment
  • Conveyors, material handling or sortation systems
  • PLCs and control systems
  • Mechanical, pneumatic or electromechanical equipment

Experience within logistics, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, food production, electronics, medtech or another automated industrial environment would be highly relevant.

An engineering qualification would be advantageous, but strong practical experience is equally valued.

Most importantly, you'll be a practical, solutions-focused engineer who enjoys troubleshooting and working as part of a team.

The package

€55,000 basic salary

Plus:

  • Paid overtime opportunities
  • Likely week-on/week-off shift pattern
