Job summary

Digital Manufacturing Ireland seeks a Machine Vision Engineer to integrate machine vision into automation projects and drive quality control improvements. The role requires hands-on experience with Cognex/Keyence/Halcon, familiarity with AI tools, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. A hybrid work setup in Limerick is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronic, or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
• Extensive experience integrating machine vision in automation.
• Proficient in PLC programming and robotics integration.
• Familiar with industrial protocols and standards.
• Knowledge of lighting and lens setup for automation.
• Experience with AI tools like PyTorch or TensorFlow (advantageous).

Additionally, the role involves exploring future trends in machine vision and computer vision for manufacturing, as well as staying updated on emerging technologies.
