Job summary

Apple's AI & Data Platforms team seeks a Software Engineer to design and build high-performance data systems powering analytics, AI, and insights. You’ll craft scalable distributed services, embedding Generative AI capabilities with a focus on latency and reliability.

You’ll work with partners across business and engineering to shape analytics platforms, apply best practices, and deliver end-to-end data solutions from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise data apps on distributed systems and cloud databases (Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java with hands-on relational DB and RESTful API development.
• Familiarity with Software Engineering best practices, including test-driven development.
• Understanding of BI concepts and Generative AI concepts (LLMs, prompt engineering).

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance data systems with low latency and high reliability.
• Develop scalable distributed data services that embed Generative AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with business and engineering partners to translate analytics needs into robust data platforms.
• Ensure maintainability and performance across data processing pipelines.
