Job summary

Presidio Ireland is seeking a senior M365 consultant to lead Microsoft 365 deployments, Entra ID, Defender, Purview, and Copilot across large environments. You will gather customer requirements, draft designs, and run technical design workshops, collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to pre-sales opportunities.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, documentation, and knowledge transfer, with a focus on hybrid and tenant-to-tenant migrations and strong security practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven 5 years experience as a Microsoft 365 Consultant or similar role covering multiple products and solutions.
• Proficiency in configuring and deploying Microsoft 365 in large environments.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Entra, Purview, Defender, and Copilot.
• Strong IT security knowledge and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good documentation skills from implementation, testing and operations perspective.
• Experience in a customer-facing IT role.
• Ability to collaborate in a team or work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead an implementation phase with junior engineers or work independently on IT deployments per requirements.
• Configure and deploy Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Defender, Purview, and Copilot.
• Configure Microsoft Cloud Technologies, especially Microsoft 365 workloads.
• Gather customer requirements and produce high-level/low-level design documents.
• Shadow or produce design documents under the guidance of the Solution Architect.
• Run Technical Design Workshops with customers.
• Support Pre-Sales with technical SME input on opportunities.
• Design, plan and deliver Microsoft 365 hybrid and tenant-to-tenant migrations.
• Produce, execute and document tests and conduct knowledge transfer.
• Create project handover documentation.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams throughout Project Delivery.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior M365consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for consultancy, deployment, configuration, and support of Microsoft 365 solutions to Presidio customers. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Required to lead an implementation phase with more Junior Engineers and/or Self-sufficient in the implementation of IT systems and solutions based on business requirements and according to vendor best practice. This can be as part of a greenfield and/or brownfield deployment.
• Configuring and deploying Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Copilot.
• Configuring and deploying of Microsoft Cloud Technologies, specifically Microsoft 365 Workloads.
• Ability to gather customer requirements and provision HLD or LLD documentation provided capturing the customers required design.
• May be required to contribute/shadow producing documentation such as high-level and low-level customer-facing design documents based on pre-existing templates and under the direction of Solution Architect ultimately responsible for the document delivery.
• Run Technical Design Workshops with customers.
• Support the Pre-Sales process with technical SME contribution on pre-sales opportunities on an occasional basis
• Design, planning and delivery of Microsoft 365 hybrid and tenant-to-tenant migrations.
• Produce, Execute and document tests as part of test and acceptance with clients as well as knowledge transfer when required.
• Produce and complete project handover documentation.
• You will be required to collaborate effectively with internal project teams including technical and project management resources as well as external extended team including Clients and Vendors as part of Project Delivery

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven 5 years experience as an Microsoft 365 Consultant or similar role covering multiple products and solutions
• Proficiency in configuring and deploying Microsoft 365 in large environments
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 including:
• Microsoft Entra
• Microsoft Purview
• A strong working knowledge of IT security protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good Documentation skills from an implementation, test and operational procedural document perspective
• Experience in a customer facing IT role required
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment
• Ability to work independently or part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Any experience in Quest On-Demand Migration and ShareGate would be preferable, but not a requirement.
