Job summary

Conack is seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator to support major construction projects in Galway and the west region. You will coordinate mechanical and electrical packages from design through commissioning and handover, working with an ambitious team.

Role requires a degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering and 5+ years in M&E coordination. You’ll manage site teams, liaise with subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or relevant industry experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in an M&E Coordinator or Building Services role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in construction.
• Experience coordinating M&E subcontractors and consultants.
• Knowledge of commissioning, snagging, and handover processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Mechanical & Electrical packages across construction projects in Galway and the wider western region.
• Manage and support site teams and subcontractors on all M&E-related activities.
• Ensure M&E works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
• Coordinate design-build M&E packages to meet project and client requirements.
• Monitor programme, budget, and progress across M&E packages.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams throughout delivery.
• Support project teams with snagging, commissioning, and final handover.
• Manage and coordinate M&E snag lists and close-out activities.
• Assist with retentions, subcontractor close-out, and final project completion.
• Support estimating and tender reviews when required.
• Help identify and resolve technical or coordination issues across projects.
