Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking an M&E Coordinator to join a large-scale build in Carlow. You will review M&E design information, coordinate information flow, and manage submissions for mechanical and electrical equipment and drawings on site.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years on-site experience, a relevant degree, and strong H&S awareness. BIM experience and proficiency with Word/Excel are advantageous; you will work with a skilled team on Ireland's largest projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years on-site in a large-scale construction/engineering environment.
• Degree qualification or higher in a relevant field.
• Background in M&E (mechanical and electrical).
• Experience delivering projects in residential, commercial or mixed-use developments.
• HS awareness and safety-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Review M&E design information and perform a full design gap analysis with the project team.
• Monitor and coordinate M&E design information flow for timely construction releases.
• Manage submission and approval processes for M&E equipment and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, client and company requirements and assist BCAR uploads.
• Keep M&E designs within budget and meet contract deliverables.
• Ensure subcontractors work within the Safety Management System and comply with requirements.
• Maintain accurate minutes of subcontractor meetings.
• Assist quantity surveyors with subcontractor monthly and final accounts.

Making Possible

• Review M&E design information and undertake a full design gap analysis in conjunction with the project team.
• Monitor and co-ordinate the flow of M&E design information to ensure the timely release of information for construction activities.
• Manage the submission and approval process of all M&E technical equipment as required.
• Manage the submission and approval process of all M&E design information (drawings) as required.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, client and company requirements and assist with the preparation of the submission required for the BCAR uploads.
• Ensure M&E designs and details produced are economic and do not exceed budgeted or tendered cost and comply with our contract deliverables.
• Ensure that specialist mechanical and electrical & sprinkler sub-contractors work strictly within company Safety Management System and comply fully with all its requirements.
• Ensure that specialist mechanical and electrical & Sprinkler sub-contractors provide in a timely manner all quality and statutory requirements.
• Manage and maintain accurate minutes of subcontractor meetings.
• Assist project quantity surveys with review and preparation of subcontractor monthly and final accounts.

What do you bring to the role?

• Minimum of 3 years working on site with a large-scale construction/engineering organisation.
• Minimum Degree qualification or higher.
• A background in M&E.
• Previous experience in Residential, Commercial and / or mixed-use development
• H&S awareness.
• Time-served mechanical/ electrical background.
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Experience delivering project with BIM, word, Excel etc.
