GEDON™ is seeking a Commercial Director to lead the commercial function across a portfolio of technically complex MEP projects in Ireland and Europe. Based in Dublin, you will set strategy, lead a growing commercial team and ensure robust cost control with strong margins across live and regulated environments.
You will oversee tenders, negotiate contracts, and manage risk under NEC, PWC, FIDIC, and bespoke forms, collaborating closely with operations, engineering and pre-construction teams.
Our client is a fast-growing MEP engineering and construction specialist delivering mechanical and electrical services on some of the most technically demanding projects in the market. Their work spans data centres, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and advanced manufacturing, where system performance, resilience and compliance are central to every scheme.
The business combines the agility and technical focus of a specialist contractor with the financial strength and resources of a major construction group. That backing provides a stable platform for growth, access to a strong and varied project pipeline, and the ability to take on larger, more complex packages with confidence.
Having built a strong reputation in Ireland, the business is now expanding its operations across Europe in response to sustained demand in the mission-critical and high-tech sectors. This appointment is a key step in strengthening its senior leadership, with the Commercial Director playing a central role in how that growth is managed, protected and delivered.
As M&E Commercial Director, you will take significant commercial responsibility across a portfolio of technically complex MEP projects. You will set the commercial direction for the business, lead and develop the commercial team, and ensure that every project is procured, managed and closed out with robust cost control and strong margins.
Projects are typically large-scale and fast-paced, delivered for sophisticated clients within live or highly regulated environments. You will work closely with operations, engineering and pre-construction teams, as well as main contractors, consultants and end clients, giving you visibility and influence across the full project lifecycle from bid through to final account.
Based in Dublin, the role also offers exposure to the company’s growing European project portfolio. It suits a commercially strong leader with a solid technical understanding of MEP systems, ideally shaped within a general contractor environment, who wants to make a lasting impact on a business at an important stage of its growth.
This role offers a salary of €160,000, alongside a senior-level benefits package. More importantly, it provides a long-term career platform within a high-growth specialist business with the security of a major construction group behind it. You will have genuine influence over the commercial direction of the company, exposure to a strong European pipeline in the mission-critical sector, and a clear route towards board-level responsibility as the business continues to grow.
