Job summary

Sofitel Dublin Airport Hotel is seeking an experienced Events Sales Manager to lead the pre-opening and launch of the Meetings & Events function. You will work with the Director of Sales & Marketing to drive proactive business development and convert enquiries with a luxury service mindset.

You will manage a team, nurture key accounts including corporates, agencies, DMCs and associations, and partner with Revenue, Reservations, Operations, and F&B to ensure flawless event delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven Meetings & Events sales experience in a four- or five-star hotel or comparable hospitality environment.
• Proven track record in proactive business development and account management.
• Experience leading, coaching or supervising a sales team is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive pre-opening and launch of the Meetings & Events function with pipeline development and account acquisition.
• Identify and secure new business across corporate, agency, association, incentive, group and social events.
• Build and manage a portfolio of M&E accounts including corporates, agencies, DMCs, PCOs and industry bodies.
• Create and execute proactive sales plans, meetings, site inspections and proposals to generate revenue growth.
• Lead the reactive sales process and convert enquiries into confirmed business.
• Develop compelling proposals and negotiate contracts to maximise revenue with luxury service.
• Monitor pipelines, forecasts and market trends to improve performance and market share.
• Lead, coach and develop the M&E sales team with accountability and commercialFocus.
• Collaborate with Revenue, Reservations, Operations, F&B and Marketing for seamless event delivery.
