Job summary

Macfarlane Packaging in Rathcoole, Ireland is seeking a Logistics Operative to ensure customers receive the right products on time. Based in our Regional Distribution Centre, you will handle stock, operate forklifts, support efficient order fulfilment, and uphold high operational standards in a hands-on, team-focused environment.

The role requires experience in a busy warehouse, a valid forklift licence, strong attention to detail, and a good grasp of health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Valid Forklift licence (Counterbalance, Reach, Pivot-Steer, Power Pallet Truck).

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and store incoming goods accurately.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Carry out stock control activities, including counts and audits.
• Process returns and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate system records and documentation.
• Work closely with internal teams to meet delivery commitments.
• Follow all health and safety and quality procedures.

Location: Rathcoole (Greenogue Industrial Estate)

Salary: Up to €39,780 (dependent on experience) + bonus

Hours: 45 Monday-Friday (06:30-16:30 hours & 07.30-17.30 hours)

The Logistics Operative role

As our Logistics Operative, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the right products, on time, every time.

Working within our Regional Distribution Centre, you’ll be responsible for handling stock accurately, driving forklifts, supporting efficient order fulfilment, and maintaining high operational standards. This is a hands‑on role where teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll bring
