Job summary

Affidea Ireland is recruiting a Locum Senior Cardiac Physiologist for our Cork Clinic, offering an opportunity to contribute to an expanding Echocardiography service within a leading healthcare provider.

The role covers transthoracic echocardiography, ECG stress testing, ambulatory Holter and blood pressure monitoring, Cardiac CT/MRI, with collaboration alongside cardiologists and nurses to deliver optimal care.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Clinical Measurement Science or equivalent as confirmed by Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology (IICMP).
• Approximately 5 years post-qualification experience with at least 3 years Echo experience.
• Current BSE or EACVI accreditation.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage a high-volume workload.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality patient care.
• Strong communication skills and ambition to grow Echocardiography services across Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Manage own clinic workload with efficiency and high quality.
• Lead echocardiography and non-invasive testing to high standards per department policies and guidelines.
• Lead and mentor junior staff, ensuring training and patient care.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal care.
• Potential involvement in development of new testing sites nationwide if desired.

We are currently recruiting for a Locum Senior Cardiac Physiologist for our new service based in our Cork Clinic.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Cardiac Physiologist seeking to take the next step in their career with a leading healthcare provider who are focused on development and expansion of Echocardiography Services throughout Ireland. The cardiology suite will cover a comprehensive range of services and non-invasive cardiovascular investigations including:

• Transthoracic echocardiography
• ECG Stress testing
• Ambulatory holter and blood pressure monitoring
• Cardiac CT and MRI
• Access to invasive services via local partners

Duties :

• You will manage your own clinic work load with efficiency and high quality. Flexible working conditions can be discussed where needed
• Manage clinical leadership within echocardiography and non-invasive testing to a high standard according to department Policies and Procedures and internationally recognised guidelines
• Lead and mentor junior staff, ensuring high standards of training and patient care
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal care
• You may become involved ,if desired, in the development of new testing sites nationwide

Qualifications and Experience:

• Recognised qualification in Clinical Measurement Science or an equivalent relevant scientific qualification as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology (IICMP)
• Ideally should have approximately 5 years post qualification experience with at least 3 years Echo experience
• Current BSE (British Society of Echocardiography) or EACVI( European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging) accreditation
• Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage a high-volume workload
• An ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills
• Ambition & Energy to plan to grow Echocardiography services throughout Ireland
