Job Summary

You are a key member of the Language Experts group closely monitoring and evaluating response quality for your locale. As a Language Expert, you evaluate the performance of the language model ensuring that it: correctly understands user requests, provides relevant and useful responses, and presents information clearly. You also review and evaluate ratings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the cross-locale team of Language Experts to transform challenges into insights and process improvements, and identify effective practices.
• Drive model improvements specific to your language, working with Subject Matter Experts to ensure high-quality responses.
• Analyze evaluation data to identify patterns, successes, and areas for improvement across releases.
• Ensure evaluation trustworthiness by vetting samples and assessing quality.
• Create language-specific evaluation guidelines to support and enhance model performance.
• Conduct quality assessments on evaluations and rewrites, ensuring data aligns with linguistic nuances and expectations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• Native-level fluency in Thai, with excellent command of grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances.
• Strong analytical skills to dissect language structures and identify patterns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and research presentations.
• Meticulous attention to language details, including pronunciation and subtle variations.
• Understanding of cultural context, social norms, and non-verbal communication.
• Research skills for collecting and analyzing linguistic data; programming knowledge (e.g., Python) is a plus but not required.
