Job summary

Schindler Group in Ireland is seeking a Lift Installation Engineer to cover Southern Ireland. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality installation work and handovers to required standards. This is a full-time, permanent role.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation or equivalent qualification, plus proven experience with lift equipment installation and major projects. You will work independently, manage deadlines and liaise with customers and site teams.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation or equivalent mechanical/electrical qualification required.
Proven experience installing lift equipment in new installation/refurbishment/modernisation environments.
Strong technical knowledge of lift installation practices and standards.

Responsibilities

Install lift shafts, mechanical components and ancillary equipment per procedures and safety requirements.
Assemble traction equipment and align, fit and adjust lift systems.
Install and tension lift suspension and safety ropes on new and reconstructed installations.
Install lift doors, frames, and entrance systems with safety devices.
Conduct final installation checks and pre‑commissioning activities for testing and handover.
Carry out site surveys to support project delivery.
Provide updates on progress, hours worked and issues affecting delivery or compliance.
Build positive relationships with customers, site personnel and colleagues to meet standards and expectations.
