Job summary

Orona MidWestern Lifts in Limerick is seeking an Apprentice Lift Engineer to learn from experienced Lift Engineers and begin a career in the lift industry. You will be supported through a four-year Electrical apprenticeship with SOLAS, gaining hands-on experience in lift installation and maintenance.

You will work closely with Managers and Supervisors, ensure health and safety compliance, and progress through the structured development programme to become a qualified Lift Engineer.

Qualifications

• Health and safety compliance is required throughout training.
• Complete a 4 year Electrical apprenticeship under SOLAS.
• Meet the minimum entry requirements for an Electrical Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Assist and liaise with Managers/Supervisors on relevant work activities.
• Learn and understand electrical principles related to lift installation and maintenance.
• Attend SOLAS and complete coursework on time and to a high standard.

We are looking for 1 Apprentice Lift Engineerto join our team in Limerick. As an Apprentice Lift Engineer you will work with experienced Lift Engineers to learn and understand the company and requirements to become a qualified Lift Engineer.

What you need to be successful:

• To complete a 4 year Electrical apprenticeship, supported through a structured in-house development programme in conjunction with SOLAS.

  • To undertake a range of tasks suited to the current level of training and development in the lift industry

  • Attend SOLAS and complete course work on time and to a high standard

  • Assist and liaise with Managers / Supervisors on relevant work activities

  • Understand and apply the electrical principles associated with lift installation and lift maintenance on all electrical equipment and systems

• Ensure compliance in all Health and Safety practices in current legislation

Employment is subject to an interview, reference checks and you must meet the minimum entry requirements for an Electrical Apprenticeship.
