Job summary

South Dublin County Council invites applications for a Librarian to lead and manage a public library or a section within South Dublin Libraries. The role includes responsibility for the management and development of library services, staff, resources and buildings, with reporting to the County Librarian and library management team.

The office is wholetime, permanent and pensionable, and a panel will be formed to fill permanent and temporary vacancies.

The Librarian is a professional frontline management position in South Dublin County Council and is assigned responsibility for the management of a public library or section within South Dublin Libraries. He/she will be responsible for the management and development of library services, staff, resources and buildings and will report to the County Librarian and/or library management team.

The office is wholetime, permanent and pensionable. A panel will be formed to fill permanent and temporary vacancies. Persons employed will be required to work in any location within the South Dublin administrative area.
