Job summary

Talbot Hotel Cork is recruiting for an experienced Leisure Club Assistant Manager to support the Leisure Club Manager in running a lucrative leisure club. The role involves managing a busy, vibrant club with strong membership and a focus on member satisfaction.

The candidate will oversee daily operations, maintain hygiene standards, drive revenue and manage rosters while partnering with the broader hotel team to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience as Assistant Leisure Club Manager or similar.
• A relative qualification in people management would be an advantage.
• A nationally recognised Fitness Instructors qualification or equivalent.
• ILAM Pool Lifeguard or equivalent qualification.
• National Swimming and Spa Pool Certificate
• Class teaching experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong business acumen with an understanding of revenue generation, cost control and the achievement of targets

Responsibilities

• The day-to-day running and operation of Talbot Fitness at Talbot Hotel Cork.
• Deliver professional, friendly service to all members and guests.
• Build strong relationships with members.
• Maintain highest hygiene standards consistently.
• Assist in budget targets and financial performance.

Responsibilities and Duties to include

• The day-to-day running and operation of Talbot Fitness at Talbot Hotel Cork;
• Ensure that a professional, excellent friendly service is delivered to all our members and guests at all times;
• Build strong professional relationships with our members;
• Ensure the highest hygiene standards are consistently maintained without fail;
• To assist in the achievement of budgetary and agreed targets;
• Ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained to the required standard;
• Be innovative, keep on trend and adapt product accordingly in agreement with team;
• To be familiar with hotel product offering;
• To foster a culture of professionalism and teamwork within the leisure club focusing on common goals, positivity and effective communication;
• To coordinate and manage the team and rosters in line with business needs.

The successful Leisure Club Assistant Manager will be required to work varying shifts.
