Job summary

Arthur Cox LLP, a leading Irish law firm, seeks a Legal Contracts Advisor (Flexible / Part-time) in Dublin 2 to lead review, negotiation and management of commercial contracts and related legal documents in the Risk & Compliance team.

The role requires a qualified lawyer with 3–4 years' experience in commercial contracts, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to engage senior stakeholders. Part-time permanently, onsite with hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with demonstrable experience in legal, compliance, risk management, regulatory or governance functions.
• Minimum 3-4 years experience in commercial contracts gained in-house or in private practice.
• Strong understanding of Contract Law, Procurement and supplier management.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Highly organised with strict attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
• Sound judgement and practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Capability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including Supplier and vendor contracts, Data processing agreements, confidentiality agreements (NDAs) and AI and emerging technology contracts.
• Review and negotiate client contractual requirements including Outside Counsel Guidelines, panel terms, and client bespoke letters of engagement.
• Identify legal, regulatory and commercial risks and propose practical solutions.
• Legal and Commercial Advisory: Advise stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations and risk allocation.
• Support procurement and vendor onboarding activities.
• Provide practical legal advice on contract interpretation, potential contractual disputes and compliance obligation issues.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting commercial contracting.
• Update the firm’s Standard Terms of Business for recommended amendments.
• Maintain and enhance standard contractual templates and clause libraries.
• Support contract lifecycle management processes.
• Maintain accurate contract records and reporting dashboards; Assist with regulatory reviews, audits and internal governance reporting.
• Support firm-wide initiatives involving Digital transformation, AI governance, and Technology procurement, ESG and sustainability requirements.
• Work with stakeholders across the firm to embed best practice contract management processes.

We are seeking an experienced Legal Contracts Advisor to join our Risk & Compliance team. The successful candidate will lead the review, negotiation and management of the firm's commercial contracts and legal documentation, supporting both operational and strategic initiatives.
