Job summary

Zinkworks in Ireland is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to build and sustain organizational capability as we grow. This role focuses on embedding Learning, Professionalism and Teamwork as practical, repeatable ways of working across the organisation—supporting consistency, quality and long-term performance.

You will collaborate with engineering, delivery, operations and technical leaders to ensure capability is developed, reinforced and renewed over time.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in learning, organisational development or capability-focused roles.
  • Credibility working with senior technical and delivery leaders.
  • Experience in complex, delivery-oriented environments.

Responsibilities

  • Identify where organisational capability is fragile, inconsistent or missing.
  • Design system-level approaches that address root causes.
  • Simplify or retire initiatives that don't meaningfully improve practice.
  • Design and steward learning systems that support real work, including onboarding, role transitions, standards adoption and professional growth.
  • Apply practical, evidence-informed learning approaches that respect delivery pressures.
  • Reduce reliance on ad-hoc learning by making expectations, pathways and exemplars clear.
  • Support the definition and consistent adoption of professional standards across teams and accounts.
  • Work with leaders to clarify expectations around quality, delivery and conduct.
  • Enable structured learning from experience, including reflection and continuous improvement practices.
  • Establish and support communities of practice across roles and disciplines.
  • Enable peer learning and knowledge exchange between teams and accounts.
  • Help ensure collaboration produces tangible improvements to delivery outcomes.

About The Role

Instead, you will shape how Learning, Professionalism and Teamwork are embedded as practical, repeatable ways of working across the organisation-supporting consistency, quality and long-term performance. You will work closely with engineering, delivery, operations and technical leaders to ensure capability is developed, reinforced and renewed over time.
