Job summary

Tirlán is recruiting a Business Excellence Associate for its graduate programme, based onsite in Ireland. You will join the Lean Practitioners team, reporting to the Business Excellence Manager, gaining hands-on experience in embedding Lean across our operations.

The role focuses on developing, leading and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, with rotations and progression opportunities across Ballyragget and related sites.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification or significant relevant hands-on experience of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process Improvement or project management.
• Self-confident with the ability to promote a new way of thinking.
• Highly motivated and self-driven.
• Excellent influencing skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to embed Lean maturity across the site.
• Develop strategy to embed a culture of operational excellence.
• Ensure 3M daily management system, KPI reviews and CI forums are embedded across the site.
• Drive the central Business Excellence strategy across the site.
• Support CI training and development programs for Ballyragget staff.
• Assist RCA processes and ensure effective problem solving.
• Implement standardised processes and workflows across the site.
• Lead key improvement projects and monitor using Business Excellence tools.
• Define process flows and standardised work with teams to produce takt time and value stream maps.
• Implement Visual Management System to communicate key business information and ensure visibility.
• Work with budget targets to reduce costs and improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
• Coach and mentor employees in LEAN tools and systems.
• Build and maintain relationships across the business to align with process improvements.
• Promote awareness of Business Excellence at all levels.
