Job summary

Musgrave Group Plc is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Team Lead to work with Doyles Veg Prep in managing daily warehouse operations for fresh produce. You will supervise staff, ensure FIFO stock handling, and drive on-time picking, packing, and dispatch while upholding food safety and quality standards.

The role involves coordinating deliveries, supporting stock control, and leading continuous improvement in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment within a six-day delivery model.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience within a warehouse, production, distribution, FMCG, or food manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience dealing with employee performance, attendance, and conduct matters.
• Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and operational reporting.
• Experience within a fresh produce, food production, or food distribution environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and traceability requirements.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Manual Handling, Health & Safety, or Food Safety certifications.
• Forklift licence or experience operating material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the warehouse.
• Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse operatives to achieve targets.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain food safety, HACCP, traceability and quality procedures.
• Manage stock levels, stocktakes and inventory reconciliation.
• Support safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide regular updates on operational performance and staffing issues.
