Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Europe (HBUEU) seeks a Senior Substation Engineer to lead design for Primary and Secondary equipment on Transmission and Distribution projects. The role is hybrid with three days in the Dublin office, delivering engineering packages on time and within budget, and adhering to relevant standards.

Qualifications

BEng (honours) in a related engineering field and 5 years of applicable experience.
Proven knowledge of Transmission or Distribution practices (220kV to 11 kV) and substation experience.
Strong teamwork, analytical and communication skills.
Ability in working to tight deadlines and high-pressure environments.
Understanding/Knowledge of standards and drawing practices.

Responsibilities

Lead design for Primary & Secondary Substation Engineering.
Prepare complete project documents and design checks.
Coordinate engineering disciplines across projects.
Provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning.
Liaise with clients and lead meetings.
