Job summary

Careeriser-Limited in Wexford is seeking a Site Engineer to lead health, safety, quality and compliance across a major construction project in Ireland. You will coordinate design reviews, manage subcontractors and integrate planning with procurement to meet programme milestones.

The role requires a HETAC Level 8 Engineering qualification and at least 2 years’ similar experience in Ireland, with hands-on setting out and supervision of engineers.

Qualifications

• HETAC Level 8 Engineering qualification required.
• Minimum 2 years’ similar site experience in Ireland.
• Experience with setting out and managing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead health, safety, quality and compliance across the project, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout delivery.
• Coordinate design reviews, technical queries and the timely resolution of design and construction issues.
• Manage subcontractors and specialist service providers to ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality and commissioning requirements.
• Monitor project progress, provide weekly performance reporting and proactively identify and address potential delays.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and ensure the timely close-out of defects and outstanding issues.
• Oversee quality assurance processes, document control and compliance with building control requirements.
• Manage key work packages, including sequencing, trade coordination and input into procurement and planning activities.
• Liaise with utilities providers, local authorities, statutory bodies and other external stakeholders as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve build efficiencies through design optimisation, technical challenge and value engineering.
• Lead, mentor and develop site engineering teams while promoting a collaborative, quality-driven and customer-focused culture.
