Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering secure software solutions in Dublin. You will be a core technical contributor shaping the future of software security across enterprise systems.

You will design and implement enterprise-grade security controls, lead threat modeling, and oversee AI-assisted security workflows within the SDLC, ensuring auditability and resilience across multiple business functions.

Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience (NAMR/APAC – India/ LATAM/ Hong Kong)
  • Advanced in one or more programming languages
  • Proficient across SDLC execution including CI/CD and security

Responsibilities

  • Executes creative security solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting across complex problems
  • Uses enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and security documentation
  • Develops secure production code and reviews code written by others
  • Minimizes vulnerabilities by following industry standards and regulations, conducts discovery, testing, and threat scenarios
  • Works with stakeholders to understand security needs and recommend changes during vulnerabilities
  • Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within SDLC/toolchain to strengthen security testing and ensure traceability

As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorganChase within the [insert LOB or sub LOB], you are an integral part of team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Executes creative security solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate threat modeling, vulnerability analysis synthesis, and security documentation, validating outputs and ensuring sensitive data is handled appropriately.
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Minimizes security vulnerabilities by following industry insights and governmental regulations to continuously evolve security protocols, including creating processes to determine the effectiveness of current controls, and conducts discovery, vulnerability, penetration testing, and threat scenarios to identify and assess vulnerabilities
  • Works with stakeholders and business leaders to understand security needs and recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability
  • Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within SDLC/toolchain routines to strengthen security testing and control validation, ensuring traceability/auditability and alignment to resiliency and security expectations.
Required Qualifications Capabilities And Skills
  • A. Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience (NAMR/APAC – India/ LATAM/ Hong Kong) B. Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and advanced applied experience (EMEA/LATAM-Brazil) C. Singapore follow local country guidance
  • Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise level security solutions
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support security engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted code/security recommendations before adoption, escalating uncertainty and ensuring outcomes align to security, resiliency, and auditability expectations.
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
  • Proficient across SDLC execution, including agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
  • Experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing
