Job summary
Sunbeam Veterinary Group is seeking an experienced Referral Veterinary Surgeon to join our Cork referral hospital. You will manage a busy caseload of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries, working independently within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
The role offers flexible or part-time arrangements and scope to develop and grow surgical services, with access to advanced imaging and 24/7 emergency support.
Qualifications
- VCI registered or eligible for VCI registration.
- A recognised Surgical Certificate.
- Proven experience in both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
- Comfortable managing referral-level cases independently.
- Ability to maintain and develop a surgical caseload.
- Strong communication skills with clients and referring veterinary surgeons.
- Approachable, collaborative and personable working style.
- Commitment to contributing positively to a large, experienced clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Manage a busy and varied surgical caseload involving soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures.
- Lead referral-level cases from initial assessment to surgery and follow-up care.
- Work with an experienced multidisciplinary team with access to advanced imaging, rehab and emergency support.
- Shape the caseload around individual interests and expertise.
