3D Personnel’s client, a leading developer in the West/Mid West, seeks a Project Quantity Surveyor to manage financial processes and budgets on large-scale projects in Tuam, Co. Galway.

You will lead valuation, cost planning, risk assessment and cost control, coordinating with the design team and contractors. 5+ years’ QS experience and degree in QS/Construction Economics are required.

Qualificações

• Degree qualified in QS/ Construction Economics or higher.
• 5+ years on large-scale construction projects (apartments, offices, hotels, mixed projects).
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good oral & written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Take active responsibility for financial procedures with the Managing Quantity Surveyor.
• Suggest package subcontractors, systems and manufacturers for team appraisal.
• Lead role in the valuation process.
• Be aware of element costings and costs per m2 of materials.
• Develop initial project budget and agree cost plan with Senior Surveyor.
• Confirm project insurance arrangements.
• Assist with value engineering exercises.
• Prepare & monitor bid package tender schedule; advise on contractor selection.
• Monitor information flow to ensure work is authorised.
• Attend and chair meetings with design team and contractors.
• Manage the change process with extended team.
• Prepare payment documentation for subcontractors and suppliers for approval.
• Prepare rolling final accounts and agree at PC with line manager.
