Job description

Location: Dublin, Ireland (on-site, 5 days a week)

Employment type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: €50,000 - €60,000 base, plus equity and benefits

About us

Anduril builds hardware for demanding, real-world use. Our range includes wearable communications units worn by frontline personnel, plus around 150 other products: components that go into larger systems, including drones, and deployable compute units that run our company-wide AI platform. Design and R&D are in-house, and manufacturing is handled by partner sites.

The role

Our returns and repair function is up and running, and we need someone to take ownership of it. The person who built it up has moved into a new role within the company, so you’d be stepping into something established, with the freedom to improve it.

This is a technician-first role. You’ll spend roughly half your time at the bench, diagnosing and repairing electronic hardware yourself, and half owning the process and guiding the team.

What you’ll do
  • Assess returned products and decide whether to repair, replace, fix through the existing process, or send back to the manufacturing site
  • Diagnose and repair electronic hardware hands-on, from board and component level up to complete systems
  • Own the flow of work through the function, from intake to resolution
  • Work with vendors on repair options and pricing, and judge when repair makes sense compared with replacement
  • Technically guide a hands-on technician, with a second joining as the team grows
About you
  • Hands-on experience with electronics, mechatronics, electromechanical or robotics hardware, ideally including PCBs and electronic products
  • A track record of diagnosing and fixing faults yourself, not only supervising others
  • Around 4+ years’ experience and ready to step up into broader ownership
  • Comfortable moving between bench work, vendor conversations, costs and process
  • Some experience guiding a colleague or junior technician (formal management experience is not required)
  • A methodical approach to root cause analysis and clear documentation
  • The right to work in Ireland, and able to work on-site in Dublin five days a week
Nice to have
  • Experience with returns, RMA, failure analysis or warranty repair
  • A background in comms, defence, aerospace, drones, medical devices, test and measurement or similar hardware environments
  • Experience in small or fast-moving hardware teams

This may not be the role for you if you’re looking for a design role, a field-based role, or hybrid or remote working. This is a bench-based position.

What we offer
  • Real ownership of a function, with room to grow as the team expands
  • Equity and a benefits package
  • Relocation support may be considered for the right candidate
  • Work on hardware that is used in the field, not just the lab
