Job summary

O'Reillys Allcare Pharmacy in Fermoy is seeking a Managing Pharmacist for a 36-hour permanent position. The role operates typical store hours and supports health-promotion activities, pharmaceutical care, and continuing education.

You will oversee dispensing standards and ensure regulatory compliance alongside the pharmacy Manager. The ideal candidate will have PSI membership with at least 3 years post-registration experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy

Qualifications

• 1–2 years as a supervising pharmacist is highly advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Proven leadership ability and capacity to work in a busy community pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Strictly observe statutory regulations relating to the supply of medical products as per the Pharmacy Act 2007.
• Maintain the community pharmacy to a proper professional standard.
• Participate in Health Promotion programs and Pharmaceutical Care initiatives.
• Engage in Continuing Education to enhance CPD.
• Implement policies and procedures introduced by Allcare Pharmacy and SOPs.
• Ensure stock control and proper receipt/documentation of goods for the dispensary.
• Be responsible for security of stock, property, keys and staff safety with the pharmacy Manager.
• Observe Health and Safety Act details and ensure compliance by staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of business details and comply with approvals for DOH schemes (e.g., DPS, LTI, GMS).
• Support store retail standards, including category management, merchandising and stock control.
