Job summary

Beacon Hospital in Dublin, Ireland invites applications for a Senior Physiotherapist Orthopaedic In-Patients. You will lead the Physiotherapy Orthopaedic In-Patient service, coordinate with ward staff and the Allied Therapy Management team, and deliver high-quality patient care within a busy hospital setting.

The role requires minimum 3 years of ward-based Orthopaedic physiotherapy experience, CORU registration, and a commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a degree in Physiotherapy.
  • CORU registered and eligible to practice.
  • Minimum 3 years physiotherapy experience, with significant orthopaedic ward exposure.
  • Postgraduate courses in Orthopaedics/MSK or advanced practice preferred.
  • Experience in ward-based Cardiothoracic Physiotherapy and ICU desirable.
  • MSK OPD post-graduate experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver an effective Orthopaedic In-Patient Physiotherapy service.
  • Develop procedures in line with best practice standards.
  • Deliver Orthopaedic joint school, prehabilitation and rehabilitation classes for Arthroplasty patients.
  • Provide cross-cover for outpatient Orthopaedic clinics as needed.
  • Mentor junior staff and oversee on-call rotas.
  • Maintain records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
